The HP / Agilent 11793A Microwave Converter is a component part of the 8902S system. In conjunction with the 11792A, it extends the measuring range of the 8902A Measuring Receiver to 26.5 GHz. Power is measurable from +30 to -100 dBm. The 11793A provides rf switching, rf amplification to overcome mixer conversion loss, and an interface for 8902A control. For frequencies below 1.3 GHz signals are routed directly to the measuring receiver. Above 1.3 GHz signals are downconverted through a mixer/amplifier to the 8902As input range. Option 010 moves the L.O. connector location to accomodate local oscillator sources having right hand side outputs. Option 001 adds an internal amplifier for use with local oscillator sources that have insufficient power from 18 to 26.5 GHz. Option 011 combines options 001 and 010.
