The Ballantine 1620A Transconductance Amplifier is a wide range DC or AC voltage to current converter. The 1620A converts a precision input voltage to a proportional precision output current. The 1620A is ideal for calibrating ammeters, current transformers, and shunts.
Other applications include use as a high current power supply and as a power source in welding and bonding applications. The 1620A features 7 switch-selectable current ranges from 200 ľA to 100 A.
Output connections are via high current binding posts below 20A and Supercon connectors above 20A (mating connectors supplied). Output DC Current Accuracies of 0.02% + 0.02% of range are specified for the upper three current ranges.
