HP - AGILENT 4396A - $9,975.00
1D5 High Stability Frequency Reference ; 1D6 Time Gated Spectrum Analysis |
The HP 4396A provides excellent RF vector network, spectrum, and optional impedance measurements for lab and production applications.
Gain, phase, group delay, distortion, spurious, CN, and noise measurements often required for evaluating componenets and circuits can be measured using one instrument.
When combined with a test set, the HP 4396A provides reflection measurements, such as return loss, and SWR, and S parameters.
As a vector network analyzer, the HP 4396A operates from 100 kHz to 1.8 GHz with 1 mHz resolution and its intergrated synthesized source provides -60 to +20 dBm of output power with 0.1 dB resolution.
The dynamic magnitude and phase accuracy are +-0.05 dB and +-0.3 deg so that it can accurately measure gain and group delay flatness, which are becoming more important in modern electronic systems.

| HP - AGILENT 8114A - $5,295.00
The 8114A 100V / 2A Pulse Generator is a high power, single output source that delivers fast, clean, positive or negative pulses at frequencies up to 15 MHz. The pulse generator protects the device under test through user-definable limits for voltage, current and duty cycle. Additionally, a TTL input allows the output to be enabled or disabled. An option is available that allows the baseline to be adjusted in the +/- 25 V range. Transitions are less than 12 ns for high impedance mode into 50-ohm loads, baseline 0 V. In 50 Ohm mode into 50-Ohm loads, the maximum voltage is 50 Vpp with transitions less than 7 ns. The variable baseline option requires the 50 Ohm/50 Ohm mode. The 8114A is ideal for driving devices such as laser and IR diodes, EEPROMS and flash memories which operate at high voltages or currents. The 8114A is programmable via an IEEE-488 interface. A memory card interface is provided for easy storage of waveform setups.

Options 001, 004, 008 |
The HP / Agilent 8665B is a high performance signal generator suited for basic receiver testing up to 6 GHz. With Option 004 (low-noise enhancement), it can be used for out-of-channel receiver testing or as a clock source where having the lowest phase jitter is important. Radar testing can be done by adding Option 008 (pulse modulation) . Pulse width and delay can be internally adjusted between 50 ns and 999 ns, eliminating the need for an external pulse generator. Standard FM rates of up to 2 MHz and deviations to 20 MHz are suitable for many applications such as high-speed digital communications. The internal modulation source generates sine, square, triangle or sawtooth waveforms. For applications demanding the lowest RF leakage, Option 010 provides increased RF shielding.

75 Ohm Unit |
The Agilent / HP 3708A Noise & Interference Test Set provides an accurate method of assessing performance of microwave radio and satellite modem systems by providing the carrier to noise (C/N) and carrier to interface (C/I) necessary to make C/N and C/I versus bit error ratio (BER) measurements. Accurate and repeatable C/N and C/I ratios can be maintained even in the presence of severe signal variations. This unit can also be used to assess the performance of digital TV forward error correction (FEC) by assessing the tolerance of quasi-error free systems to injected noise and interference.
